It is good to see that Okonkwo is somewhat prospering in his new home. He has crops now and is making ends meet for his family. He can feed his family and he has earned some respect. It is nothing near what he was back in his own village though. I am afraid that when he goes back after seven years, he will have lost everything. I already know that he has lost all possessions, but it would be really bad it he gets back and there is some young guy that took his positions of respect. He would have to start all over again. Hopefully that does not happen to him. I have to keep remembering the name of the book though, so his life cannot be perfect or it will contradict the name of the novel.
