I love big parties with all my family. This wedding party is really cool because it is so different in it's customs but generally it is the same as a wedding after party. All the family comes, and although some may bring wine, most don't. This is one big difference between their party and ours. A similarity is that all the women spend all day cooking for the big dinner. Today one might choose to have a caterer but they still have to cook all day and the smell is in the air and all that good warm stuff.
I found the little cow incident to be very interesting. Apparently this little village has a very good system for returning lost cows. Some makes the cry about the cow and all the women had to go and get it back to the owner who then had to pay a heavy fine. Then the women checked to make sure that all the women were there and that no one stayed behind. Who knows what they would have done to a woman had she not been there.
